up until now i was pretty indifferent to this whole “occupy” movement.  i guess what it concerns most of my peers is that there will be more tuition hikes in the near future.  of course i don’t want to pay more for my education and i think it’s unnecessary and unfair, but i just figured i’d somehow find the money to pay.  but perhaps i was only thinking this way because i wasn’t actually witnessing what was really going on.  this video brought me to tears.  there are people i know standing in that crowd and there are people i know being arrested.  it was a peaceful movement put on by the students of UC Davis and although i don’t go there anymore, i wish i could have been in the quad that day making a statement about what we believe in.  i wish i had the guts to stand up for something like that.  those students didn’t flinch even when they knew the police were about to spray absurd amounts of mace in their faces.  seeing this has moved and inspired me.  i want to fight; fight for my education and fight for my generation.  Occupy: you’ve got another soldier on your side.
